Judy is an experienced human resources professional who is currently the Human Resources and Volunteer Programs Manager for the Independence Seaport Museum on Penn’s Landing in Philadelphia, PA. In addition, she does independent HR consulting for nonprofit and for-profit organizations in need of HR services. Before the museum, Judy served as head of Human Resources for the William Penn Foundation focusing on culture, talent management, leadership, learning and employee development, benefits, policy, and HR processes. Prior to joining the Foundation, she was Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust (PREIT). Judy began her career on Wall Street where she worked for Dean Witter Reynolds (now Morgan Stanley), then moved to Philadelphia where she was the head of HR for the Rubin Organization.
In 2012 Judy was the recipient of the Delaware Valley HR Person of the Year Award. She holds the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certifications. Judy earned a BA degree in business management and psychology from Clark University and has done additional coursework at Cornell School of Industrial and Labor Relations and Rowan University. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), and the Tri-State Human Resources Management Association where she has served on their Board in various capacities. She currently serves as Chair of the Judges Committee for the Delaware Valley HR Person of the Year Award and is a member of the University of Pennsylvania’s LPS Employer Advisory Board. Judy has also served on boards of other professional, education, healthcare, and civic organizations. She resides in NJ with her husband, two sons, and her beloved sidekick Zoe, a retired racing greyhound.
