It is our goal at Penn to make education accessible to non-traditional students from the widest possible range of backgrounds, which is why we offer reduced tuition rates for Penn LPS Online courses.
Course and certificate tuition
Your tuition for Penn LPS Online courses and certificates is calculated at a per course unit (c.u.)* rate based on the number of course units for which you register, unless otherwise indicated. Additional taxes may apply to participants who make payment from certain jurisdictions outside the United States. Where applicable, such taxes will be billed separately after enrollment.

- Certificates range from 4-6 c.u.
Federal financial aid is not currently available for students enrolling in individual courses or certificates.
Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences tuition
Your tuition for the Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences (BAAS), is calculated at a per course unit (c.u.)* rate based on the number of course units for which you register, unless otherwise indicated. Additional taxes may apply to participants who make payment from certain jurisdictions outside the United States. Where applicable, such taxes will be billed separately after enrollment.
If you are seeking financial aid for your Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences (BAAS), we highly advise that you begin the process early to ensure that your application receives prompt attention and that you will have a decision regarding your financial aid package before classes start. Students pursuing the "prove your way in" option through our Gateway Program may be evaluated for financial aid eligibility upon successful completion of gateway requirements; gateway courses are not eligible for financial aid. For students enrolling in individual courses or certificates, federal financial aid is not currently available.
Scholarship opportunities are available for part-time undergraduate degree-seeking students and are awarded on the basis of academic merit, financial need, and other criteria as specified by the individual scholarship fund requirements. Please be aware that Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences students are not eligible for Penn’s all-grant program.
The Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences is GI Bill® approved. Eligible students may apply GI Bill® benefits or Yellow Ribbon Program benefits toward tuition and fees.
