Turn your college credits into a Penn degree

Penn LPS Online’s Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences (BAAS) gives adults with college experience the opportunity to complete their undergraduate degree through an online program from the University of Pennsylvania—an Ivy League institution with a tradition of academic excellence and innovation.

More than a degree. A Penn education.

At Penn, you’ll study within an institution known for bringing together rigorous academics, interdisciplinary thinking, and a focus on applying knowledge to the real world.

Your previous college work counts

The BAAS program team evaluates previous college coursework for transfer credit, helping you understand how the credits you’ve already earned may contribute toward your BAAS degree. You can build on your prior academic experience while pursuing a program designed with adult learners in mind. And with multiple areas of study to choose from, you can create an academic path that connects your interests and experience with where you want to go next.

Two admission pathways

Standard admission

If your academic record demonstrates your readiness for Penn, you can apply through the standard admission process. Your previous college coursework and academic history will be reviewed as part of the admissions process, helping determine your eligibility for the BAAS program.

Gateway Program

Maybe your current potential isn't fully reflected in your past transcript. Through the Gateway Program, you can prove your academic ability by successfully completing four designated Gateway Program courses. Meet the required academic standard, and you can transition into the BAAS degree program.
