Dr. Dana Walker holds a doctorate in information science from the University of Michigan and has been teaching writing in the University of Pennsylvania’s Critical Writing Program since 2011. Since arriving at Penn, Dana has taught about 50 writing seminars, including PROW 100, and has experience working with a range of students with different writing backgrounds and needs. Her current research focuses on digital literacy and writing. Prior to Penn, Dana spent 15 years working in nonprofit and philanthropic organizations. In her 10 years in higher education trade associations, Dana served as the editor for two different newsletters and authored grant reports, budget explanations, funding reports, presentations, conference publications, and membership letters. In these various roles, she was responsible for presenting and explaining data using different visualizations from infographics to charts.
