Ferdous Jahan is a Senior Social Development Specialist in South Asia Region of World Bank. Dr. Jahan received her MPA and PhD in Political Science from Penn. Previously, she served as the Professor of Public Administration at the University of Dhaka and as the Academic Coordinator at the BRAC Institute of Governance and Development. She taught courses related to development, management of land, governance, comparative public administration, financial administration, and political science. Her research focuses on governance, food security, social protection, urban poverty, women’s empowerment, and legal empowerment of the poor in less developed countries.
